Forza Horizon Limited Collector's Edition - Game won't load

Hi. When I last tried playing this game quite some time ago, I was able to load the game up and get in with no problem. When I tried last night, however, it keeps me stuck on the main dashboard and says nothing. It keeps giving me the "open tray" prompt.
I try to start the game and it's not loading up at all. It doesn't even sound like the drive itself is spinning nearly as much as when I put in other games like Forza 4 (which starts up with no issues). My disc has barely been used and is in perfect condition
with no smudges or scratches on it, so I can rule that out. Last night I updated my 360 to the latest system patch (I don't always have my machine connected to the internet), so I have no idea if this is part of the reason it's not working. Looking at the
forums, it sounds like a lot of people are having similar issues. Just to reiterate, this is the DISC version, not the Games on Demand or downloaded version.

Any help would be greatly appreciate as I spent 3 hours last night on forums, updating things, clearing the cache and trying to figure out what might be causing this.

Forza Horizon Limited Collector's edition(PAL) region free?

Hey I have a US Xbox 360, but now I am in India and hence have access to PAL games only. I am planning to buy The limited collector's edition of Horizon, does anyone know if it is region free. I know for a fact that the regular Forza Horizon is region free.

So is the PAL version of Forza Horizon Limited Collector's edition region free? Play-Asia and other sources online do not have this info yet!

 

Xbox 360 Does Not Recognize Forza Horizon: LCE Disc

Hi guys. I'm having a bizarre problem I recently encountered with my copy of Forza Horizon: Limited Collector's Edition, and I see quite a few other players have also been dealing with Forza Horizon issues, but since their issues are related to the
Games On Demand version, I thought it best to start a separate thread to avoid confusion.



Anyway, a couple weeks ago I popped my Forza Horizon: Limited Collector's Edition (which I've had since launch day) disc into my Xbox 360 to play, but for some bizarre reason, out of the blue my 360 doesn't recognize the disc and hasn't since. It doesn't
even know it's in the tray. I'm not given any error messages or codes when I close it. It doesn't even
try to load it. All it does is display "Open Tray" as if it was empty.





I've tested my other game discs and they work just fine on my Xbox 360. Furthermore, I tried playing my Forza Horizon: LCE disc on my dad's Xbox 360 and his won't recognize it either, but his 360 doesn't have any issues playing other 360 game discs,
as well. What gives? Can someone please help me?

 

I just spoke with Microsoft support and she had me delete my profile and re-download it, delete the install of the game and clear the cache for the system (not to mention delete the updates for the system itself). None of this so far has made any difference.
The drive itself still sounds like it's barely spinning up for this game alone. She had me download the demo and it runs, but sine I am still not getting any option to reinstall the game or even get in to run the full game, I'm at a loss. I can play the
demo right now, but that is it.

Does anyone else have any suggestions? I'm waiting for support to get back in touch with me.

 

Im having the exact same issue. Ive talked to 3 reps and none were able to help the best they said were to do the disc exchange but I bet that wouldnt work, as well I dont want to spend $20 to find that out

 

The limited version is known to have this issue, no one is sure why, unfortunately.

 

I just spoke with support again and the best they were able to do is a system service for $135. What kind of joke is that? I even made sure we understood each other: In order to fix one game, I'd have to pay $135... unreal.
