Forza Horizon disc won't work on Xbox One

I have a Forza Horizon disc from a buddy on Xbox 360. I heard it was recently added to the backwards compatibility list so I wanted to try it out. But when I insert the disc into my Xbox One it says that it can't read the disc and nothing happens. I can't
buy it off of the store for some other reason but I'd rather play it on disc anyway. If anyone knows what's wrong it'd be appreciated. Maybe the disc version of it doesn't work or something I don't know. Maybe it's just a bad disc.

Forza Horizon disc won't work

My Forza Horizon disc won't work. It isn't even a year old, and I haven't played it in a few months. I have tried everything; I cleaned the disc, I turned the console off, etc. and nothing worked! I can't see any significant scratches on the disc, if you
are wondering, and I have an Xbox 360 S. I don't know what I should do at this point, I can't exchange the disc, I can't sell it, I just don't know what to do!

Help with Xbox play anywhere.

Only the digital version of Forza Horizon 3 can be played on both Xbox One and Windows 10 PC as you can see here:

Were you connected to Xbox Live when you tried your game disc? Does the disc work on an Xbox 360?

Just an FYI, you don't actually play BC Xbox games from the disc. The disc is only read by the Xbox One to verify ownership, the game itself is downloaded from Xbox Live and runs off the hard drive. Which is why you need to be connected to Live the first
time you start the game. Once you have the download, you can just insert your Forza Horizon disc and play offline.

Xbox doesn't care where the game comes from. It will work normally

so basically one it has downloaded (ie forza horizon 5) and then i put this disc in it will work?

The Xbox 360 version of Forza Horizon 2 is not backward compatible, so will not work on the Xbox One. If you want to play Forza Horizon 2 on the Xbox One, you will need to pay for the game again.

I have the same problem but....

Xbox 360 Slim Glossy = Forza Horizon runs perfect (on this Console i buy Forza on demand)

Xbox 360 Slim Matte = Disc unreadable

Xbox 360 E (Xbox One Design) = Disc unreadable

I ´ve change the HDD from the Glossy to Matte and E but it comes "Disc unreadable".

Copy the files from Glossy to another Console do not work.

Sorry, don't understand why my other son won't be able. His account is where the subscription is set up on. As I said it's the original xbox and first one.

My son has been playing online no problems on forza horizon 4. But forza horizon 5 won't let him.

He also plays rocket league and fifa 21 online no problem's.

Need this sorted so it works without having to pay 2 live passes.
