Forza Horizon Backwards Compatibility Issues.

If anyone is thinking of installing the original Forza Horizon when it is available with GwG then my advice is download but
DON'T PLAY!! At the moment the game can be installed using a disc or bought from the store, I installed from disc and imported my save from my 360, but the entire game suffers from massive lag
and frame-rate drop in single player mode (I haven't tried online as yet). The game suffers from these issues so badly that at times the entire road vanishes leaving the player to navigate in midair.

I have no idea how to report this so I thought I would post here and hope that an Xbox member of staff would see the post.

The game might work better with lower power cars as I am quite far into the game using R3-R1 class cars, but be warned if you try to play.

I want to get forza horizon 1 for backward compatibility but I can't buy on Xbox one or 360 or on Xbox website

Sorry to hear it. Forza Horizon 2 is not a current backwards compatible title. The only way to access the game would be on an Xbox 360 console.

No doesn't work any better with lower power cars.

It worked fine for a while then the frame rate got so bad that it gave me a headache and had buildings, walls and roads disappear on me..

It's awful, I don't know how it made it past the testing stage!

I agree with you in regards to not playing.

 

On your console go to "settings" then "system" then "storage" & pick "clear local xbox 360 storage".

My game was running like you've described but after I cleared the 360 storage it runs fine now.

Just wish it would connect to all the online features in game.

I am having a problem with this too, i downloaded it to my Xbone and started the game, but when i went to play multiplayer or rivals on line it says i need to be signed onto xbox live, i am signed on, and i am a gold member as i obviously got it free on
the Gold free download backwards compatability thing. so am i doing something wrong or is there no multiplayer on the free game?

 

The servers aren't working properly.It's happening to everyone.

No word from Turn 10/Playground when or if the issue will be sorted.

 

Having same issue with lag and framerate drops. Iv installed it on my ssd which helped a bit but still happens. Hard reset of the zbone is only solution that works for me, but even at that i only get about an hour 1/2 play b4 it starts to mess up again.
Really dissapointed with the state of this game. Tisk tisk microsoft.

 

One of the more recent updates in Preview mentions that it fixes stuttering and performance issues in back-compat games, though it doesn't specifically call out Forza Horizon. I've not yet had a chance to test the game since then but unfortunately.
