Forza Horizon 5 xbox app to steam game progress/dlc

Thank you for your response. If you want to play the game Forza Horizon 5 on the Xbox app, you will need to purchase the Xbox game version on the Microsoft Store:

Since you have purchased the game on Steam, you can only play it on the Steam Launcher. You won't be able to find your Steam games on the Xbox app library as they have their respective launchers.

Remember that Steam and Xbox PC are 2 different gaming clients.

Sorry to say but nope, you need to re-purchase the DLC on Steam
And also you need to start from scratch. FH5 doesn't support shared progress between Xbox app and Steam

I have found an article from Forza Support. As per them, if you have played Forza Horizon 5 on the Steam app, your game progress cannot be used or carried over to a different platform.

Thanks you for the prompt response. I had assumed because my Xbox account tracks my progress within Forza Horizon 5, that a redemption on Microsoft would appear withing the Steam game. Oh well.

Unfortunately, you can't get your progress in Forza Horizon 5 from Game Pass on Steam. Progress in Forza Horizon 5 is tied to the platform you play on. If you play on Game Pass, your progress is saved on Microsoft servers. If you purchase the game on Steam, your progress is saved on Steam servers.

This means that if you play Forza Horizon 5 on Game Pass and then purchase the game on Steam, you'll have to start over from the beginning. You will not be able to transfer your progress from one platform to another.
