Forza Horizon 5 won't start Application Error exception s (0x

Newly installed Forza Horizon 5 from Game Pass Ultimate on PC with Nvidia Geforce 3080. OS is on C drive but game is installed on G drive.

Upon trying to start there is a pause of a couple of sections then a dialog comes up saying C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\Microsoft.624F8B84B80_3.405.2.0_x64_8wekyb... (etc)

The exception s (0x

That's all - no further information, the 0x doesn't contain the rest of the hex number.

Restarting computer, updating to latest Geforce drivers, uninstalling FH5 and reinstalling, running as administrator have done nothing. Same error message.

Anyone experienced similar? Any clues?

This is happening with Age of Empires 4 with 3080 as well.

I think this is an issue with all Game Pass games that you do NOT own. I can launch Minecraft for Windows perfectly fine (I own it) but Football Manager 2022 and Forza Horizon 5 on Game Pass throw the same error that you're receiving.
