Forza Horizon 5 Syncing Data Problem on PC

Hi there Gianni welcome to the community forum! Christopher here, an Xbox fan just like you and has been on Xbox for years already. I would really love to make your day by helping you out. I had this issue around a year ago. I found a solution by doing the following:

Go to the Microsoft Store, click your Profile Image and pick "sign out"

Stay in the Store and click the 3 dot button (top right) and choose Settings

Scroll down, pick "manage devices". You'll be brought to this page and delete EVERYTHING (don't worry, you can get it all back later)

Also, uncheck "Offline Permissions", then close the store.

DISCONNECT YOUR PC FROM THE INTERNET! Meaning disable any adapter (wireless or wired)

In Windows 10 go to Settings > search for "Storage Settings" > Apps and Features > (you may have "filter by" another drive) > and find the game you're having a problem with, for me it was Gears of War > Advanced options, and "Reset". Reboot your computer.

Get back into Windows, disable your adapters again. While the network adapters are off go back into the Windows Store and reenable 3 dots > Settings > Offline Permissions. Reload the game while still being offline and this time it should get past the 0% Sync problem. Since you're offline, it shouldn't be sitting for hours waiting for a response. You're offline, the game will load offline, but at least it will make a first-time-profile.

Once you get into the game, let it load, then close it. You can now reenable your network adapter and you should be able to load the game!

This worked for me for Gears of war 4 and 5, but I bet it'd work for State of Decay and Forza as well as the myriad of other games this was affecting.

Clearing all cache and staying offline to launch the game for the first time fixed the issue. Once that first sync happens, it should be fine after that.

I'm guessing this it the first time you're playing Forza Horizon 4 on PC,

If you've lost your game data for Forza Horizon 4 on PC, having closed the game before allowing it to sync up, ( which it can take some time to do so ),

To make sure you've not completely lost your save data, I would load Forza Horizon 4 on you're Xbox console and see if your save data is ok on the Xbox, if it is ok,

I would then uninstall Forza Horizon 4 from you're PC, then reinstall it and allow it to fully sync up, which may take so time to do so , to see if it works / fixes the issue.

I'm not sure about the Windows 10 update, as I've not had to do any update's to Windows for Forza over the years of going back and fourth playing Forza Horizon 4 between Xbox and PC and having to sync every time i do so.

Some items included on the Premium Edition include installation and some don't such as the Forza Horizon 5 Car Pass and Forza Horizon 5 VIP Membership which should be available inside of your game immediately.

In this case, simply quit the game then restart your device to re-sync the game data.
