Forza Horizon 5 stuck on installation

I have an xbox series x and i bought the disc for forza horizon 5 used through gamestop. When i first got the disc, it looked pristine and like new. When i popped the disc in it made a bunch of scratching sounds and gave me mutiple errors saying the disc was damged so i pushed through. I pulled out the disc and now it looks like it's all scratched up and every time it installs bit by bit thr give the same message saying the disc is damaged which was caused by the xbox itself. When i get to downloading 138.1 gb/ 138.1gb of the game which s 97.7% done. The disc will run but it makes a scratching noise and the installation never fully goes through stopping at 97.7%. There is no progress. And it gives the same "the disc is damged" error message. How in the world am i supposed to resolve this issue when the disc itself was damaged by the xbox itself when before it was like it as never played?

I understand that you are experiencing issues installing a game on a game disc.

I apologize for the inconvenienced this has caused you. I will do my best to help you.

Please restart your Xbox Series X.

Remove the game disc.

Turn off your Xbox.

Unplug all cables connected.

Leave it for 2 minutes.

Plug all cables back in.

Turn on your Xbox.

Please restart your modem/router as well to refresh your network in order for the installation to go through smoothly.

After that go to settings> network> network settings> test network connection.

Your network connection should be all good for a game installation to complete.

Gently wipe the game disc with a clean cloth.

Once done with all the steps please load the game disc and see if it works this time.

This is what helped me and got Forza to download.
1. Go into the Microsoft Store and search Forza Horizon 5 Standard Edition.
2. Next you want to click on Forza Horizon 5 Standard Edition and you want to click Install from the Xbox app.
3. This will take you to the Xbox app and when it takes you to the Forza game scroll down and look at the tab named "Included in this bundle" And click Forza Horizon 5.
4. This should take you to the regular Forza Horizon 5 game rather than the Standard Edition, And then you want to click install and this should download the game.
