Forza Horizon 5 Stuck for Ages

I woke up this morning and got on my PC to play forza horizon 5, I was crusing around the night before with my new G29 wheel I got few hours prior. I open it up and it says graphics driver needs an update which I always press ignore and continue. The intros play and the first menu appears. I press x on my wheel and the images in the background freeze but the loading icon is still moving. I wait for about 10 more minuets hoping it would fix itself but I got no luck. I restared my PC multiple times and then even re installed the game. after the fresh re install I open it up and still have the same problem. i do some searches for fixes but I find nothing. my next step was to re install the xbox app as I thought it may be something to do with the app since it wouldn't get passed the sign-in part of the menu. I got to the Microsoft store to try and reinstall it but it wont start the install. I then go to the download link on the xbox website and try do it from the exe setup file but that got stuck aswell and did not progress at all. If anyone knows a solution or is going though the same problem at the moment please let me know.

so you ignored the gpu driver update and then wonder why things don't work, as games update then the latest gpu drivers are usually required for that game to work properly.

Hi there Xander welcome to the community forum! Christopher here, an Xbox fan just like you and has been on Xbox for years already. I would really love to make your day by helping you out. I suggest you try these basic troubleshooting steps!

Open Settings, click Update and Security and then Windows Update;

Click Check for Updates;

Click the Download and Install Now option, if available;

Also, check the Microsoft Store for any updates on the Xbox apps and its services.

Then try this:

Go to windows settings > apps > search for gaming services app > click on it and select advanced options.

After that, click repair and then restore, open the app and try again.

After that, click repair and then restore, open the app and try to install it again.

If it still doesn't work you're going to uninstall the games services using a powershell command, then you're going to open the gamepass app, it will ask you to download and install the game services again :

In the windows search bar type Powershell > Right click and select open as administrator > Type the command: "get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-Appxpackage –allusers" > Wait for the process to finish and then restart the PC, then open your Xbox gamepass app, it will ask you to install the gaming services again, install it and try again.

Same problem here. I’ve tried different steeringwheels and the all do the same. Games get stuck. Forza horizon 5 and also f1 2021 / 2022
