Forza Horizon 5 Multiplayer not working SINCE RELEASE

Hello!
I have been playing FH5 since the Game Pass release, however I haven't been able to connect to any kind of multiplayer activity (Races, Eliminator, cannot do a major part of Playlist activities). I have done literally everything since then. Resetted my internet connection, tried to use both of my network cards, changed my DNS settings to Google Servers and cleared everything, I have also reinstalled the game, and yet nothing has worked so far. Whenever I try to queue for something, the game manages to find a session, however "Joining a session" stage takes really long, just to show a popup that I have been disconnected. I have no clue what to do at this point, because the error doesn't let me enjoy the game to the fullest.

I'm sorry to hear you are having issues playing online Forza Horizon 5 Multiplayer on PC. I will try to help you get back online and playing with your friends. I understand you have tried a few things, some of the troubleshooting suggestions may overlap with what you've done.

Check your NAT Type

View your Network Address Translation (NAT) type on the Xbox Network tab of the Gaming section in the Windows Settings and find out how to troubleshoot it below.

Press the Windows button on your device or keyboard, or select the Windows icon in the lower-left corner of the main screen.
Select Settings > Gaming, and then select Xbox Networking.
Under Xbox Live Multiplayer, check the NAT type.

Your NAT type can be in one of the following states.

[table][tr][td]Open[/td][td]Your issue is probably not related to your home network. You should be able to play and host multiplayer games with people who have any NAT type on their network. If you’re not able to hear or be heard in party chat, check that your audio hardware (headset, mic, speakers) is working. For Xbox headset troubleshooting, see Set up and troubleshoot your Xbox One Stereo Headset and Adapter.[/td][/tr][tr][td]Moderate or Strict[/td][td]You may want to try either setting up a perimeter network (also known as DMZ) or port forwarding. Enable perimeter network (or DMZ) functionality on your router

Perimeter network (also known as DMZ) functionality on a router is used to remove restrictions to the internet. This essentially moves your device to an area outside your network firewall, allowing you to connect to Xbox Live, join games, and host games or parties.

Important: It's critical that you use a static IP address on the PC when you set up a perimeter network. To set a static IP address, use your router's DHCP reservation function, when available. If this isn't available, you'll have to set up manual IP settings on your PC first. You'll only be able to place one PC on the perimeter network. If you have multiple PCs, this solution will only resolve the issue for one.

Warning: DO NOT use a combination of port forwarding, UPnP, and perimeter network settings. If this solution doesn’t resolve your issue, you must disable the perimeter network (DMZ) before you go to the next step.

Once you have reset your router, check your NAT information again to see if this has resolved your issue:

Press the Windows button on your device or keyboard, or select the Windows icon in the lower-left corner of the main screen.
Select Settings > Gaming, and then select Xbox Networking.
Under Xbox Live Multiplayer, select Check again.
- If your NAT type shows Open, this is your best state and your issue should be resolved.
- If your NAT type shows Moderate, this is a good state, but you may still have issues communicating or playing with other people who have Moderate or Strict.
- If your NAT type shows Strict, this state will have the most issues communicating or playing with others.

Hi,

I am exeriencing the same issue, support stated that the issue it's not in-game so they can't help. Have you figured it out? Because I am in the same exact position as you are, unable to play multiplayer on horizon 5, but forza 4 multiplayer works?!

Thanks! The weird thing is, this issue only happens with series x games. Forza horizon 4 looks perfect. It’s just the new multiplayer halo and Forza Horizon 5.

What I seen mentioned now, basically we get Forza 5 in 2013, Forza 6 not before 2015 but there is talk of a next gen Forza Horizon 2 released between Forza 5-6.
