Forza Horizon 5 Microsoft Store and Steam

Thank you for your response. If you want to play the game Forza Horizon 5 on the Xbox app, you will need to purchase the Xbox game version on the Microsoft Store:

Since you have purchased the game on Steam, you can only play it on the Steam Launcher. You won't be able to find your Steam games on the Xbox app library as they have their respective launchers.

Remember that Steam and Xbox PC are 2 different gaming clients.

I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble when trying to sync your progress in Forza Horizon 5. Let's try to sort this out, but before that please tell me:

Is this happening only with Forza Horizon 5?
Are you playing the version available on the Xbox app/Microsoft store or are you playing the one from Steam?
Is this happening with more games from the Microsoft store or just Forza Horizon 5?
May I know if you tried using a different internet connection in your PC?
And what procedures you tried to fix this inconvenience?

i dont play others game

i think this because i played forza horizon 5 with my friend microsoft account(xbox app is my account) before i buy it on steam. And now maybe the xbox think im own forza in microsoft store,

so every time i want join friend ini xbox, it bring me to forza page at microsoft store

I was gifted Forza Horizon 5 via Steam. I was able to log in with my Xbox Live account with no issues. I was even happier with the knowledge that FH5 is supported by Play Anywhere. I was able to download the game to my console, also without issue. I was thrilled, as I have an upcoming leg surgery and will be unable to sit at my desk and play with friends on my PC.

However, upon attempting to Launch the game, I received a notification stating that I need a Game Pass subscription to play.





The official Xbox website even states, "Purchase an Xbox Play Anywhere digital game, play it on Xbox or Windows 10 PC at no additional cost." Forza Horizon 5 is even the 2nd game listed in the page!





I spoke with a gaming community representative online, and asked if it was because the game was purchased through Steam. They stated that it may have something to do with it.













I found that odd, considering my Xbox One shows my FH5 achievement progress on my main screen when my controller is idle.





I pay $60/year for Xbox Live Gold, had I purchased the game myself it would've been another $60, and now I'm required to pay an additional subscription fee of at least $10/month ($120/year)? Thats $240 just to play a game with some friend. The representative was also unable to find anything from Microsoft/Xbox stating that Steam purchases were ineligible. If that is the case, Microsoft needs to make that clear, as it is EXTREMELY misleading, and very frustrating. If not, there is an issue that needs sorting out.

Horizon 5 will be cross-platform, same as Horizon 4
