Forza Horizon 5 Login Issue on Steam

I recently bought Forza Horizon 5 on Steam, it is on Windows. In Forza Horizon 5 the game requires you login with a Microsoft account associated with an Xbox account. On the login screen the game prompts to login with steam email address, *** Die E-Mail-Adresse wurde aus Datenschutzgründen entfernt. *** to login as my Microsoft account. To get around this I tried to enter in the correct credentials for my current Microsoft account *** Die E-Mail-Adresse wurde aus Datenschutzgründen entfernt. ***, (Xbox username: Instakram), and the login screen accepts the username and password but it denies me entry into the game. When I try to login again it does not give me the option to login with my correct username and is stuck with my old email in place. I have linked my Steam account to my current Microsoft account, however when inspecting the "Manage Applications" page at the Microsoft account home you can see that all other applications of mine have been verified but Forza Horizon 5 has "unverified". This leads me to assume that Microsoft or Forza Horizon 5 has not verified my accounts yet. I also got in contact with the support team for Forza Horizon 5 and they claim it is a non-game issue. Steam does not offer support for games or other platforms on their application, therefore it must be the Microsoft side that has not allowed Forza Horizon 5 to be verified on my account. I have also talked with Xbox support on numerous occasions and none of them can offer me any support on getting this fixed. I am starting to lose hope, and if I get no help soon I will have to refund the game as I will not be able to play it.

Sorry to hear about your technology issues and bad experience with support. You mentioned you purchased Forza Horizon 5 on Steam on Windows, and you tried to login to it using your Microsoft account where the login accepts the username and password but denies access to the game. Can you please answer a few questions so I can see how I can support you and help resolve this issue? Please don't include any personal information such as email addresses or gamertags.

When you sign in to Xbox.com with the Microsoft account that you used for Steam, do you see your Xbox gamertag?
If you open up the Xbox application on Windows, does it show your Xbox gamertag signed in?
Have you tried signing out and resigning into the Xbox application with the account that shows your gamertag? This can help with authentication issues with Steam.
How many Microsoft accounts do you have attached to your device? This support resource can walk you through how to find out how many Microsoft accounts are attached to your device. Please don't share the emails if you have multiple attached or I will have to remove them from your post again.

On Xbox, it's Forza Horizon 5. On Steam I tried Payday 2, on Epic I tried some random game I forgot.

Thank you for your response. If you want to play the game Forza Horizon 5 on the Xbox app, you will need to purchase the Xbox game version on the Microsoft Store:

Since you have purchased the game on Steam, you can only play it on the Steam Launcher. You won't be able to find your Steam games on the Xbox app library as they have their respective launchers.

Remember that Steam and Xbox PC are 2 different gaming clients.
