Forza Horizon 5 keeps uninstalling itself

Hello, I bought Forza horizon 5 premium edition on 11/4/21. I've been playing it just fine until yesterday when it seemingly uninstalled itself. I was playing it, then I turned off my computer and when I turned it on again Forza was gone. I checked for the file folder and it was gone, and Microsoft store said it is not installed. so I Downloaded and installed it again and played it just fine for a few hours. I turned off my PC and next time I powered it on, same thing. It disappeared from my computer. Now I don't have enough data to download all 101GB again. I'm hoping there's a way to find it or something, otherwise I'll have to wait until December to play it again.

Strangely you will have to find the game folder, it is located in WindowsApps, to access this folder you will need additional permissions, to get them you should follow the instructions in the article below.

NOTE: The site above is a third party, so be careful with any procedure you take from it.

- If you can access the windows apps folder, you should find the Forza horizon 5 folders and delete it, by doing that restart your pc, this will allow you to start the game installation again.

- Make sure it's the Forza horizon 5 folder as any other deleted folders in that path can affect your PC's performance or how the applications work.

In my case the folder name is Microsoft.624F8B84B80_3.405.2.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe

But it may be different for you, as they are encrypted files

Hi,

I did your first suggestion before, did not work.

For the second suggestion, I did not have to turn anything on or off.

"Automatically detect settings" option was on and "Manual proxy " was off.

First try to re-register the Microsoft Store

- Press Windows + X keys together and click on Windows PowerShell (Admin).

- Now type in the command and hit Enter: Get-AppXPackage *WindowsStore* -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\\AppXManifest.xml”}

- Restart the PC.

If that fails, try to disable Proxy Server:

First check if proxy server is enabled;

- Press Windows logo key + I, to open Settings.

- Click on Network & Internet and select Proxy from the left pane.

- Under Automatic proxy setup, toggle the switch to On for Automatically detect settings.

- Now, under Manual proxy setup, toggle the switch to Off for Use a proxy server

Thanks for the reply. I see it in the Xbox app and when I press resume download, it says error. The error says "this app or game requires more room than your drive has available." I changed the download to my second drive which has 156GB available and same thing. I then tried it on my third drive which has 400GB available and it still says the same thing.

First, welcome to the Xbox community. Given the problem you are having, I suggest you try the procedure below.

1. Go into the Microsoft Store and search Forza Horizon 5 Standard Edition.

2. Next you want to click on Forza Horizon 5 Standard Edition and you want to click Install from the Xbox app.

3. This will take you to the Xbox app and when it takes you to the Forza game scroll down and look at the tab named "Included in this bundle" And click Forza Horizon 5.

4. This should take you to the regular Forza Horizon 5 game rather than the Standard Edition, And then you want to click install and this should download the game.

- If that works, the download will probably pick up where it left off.
