    Forza Horizon 5 keeps crashing out of nowhere (windows 11)


    dear comunity,

    Recently I began playing Forza Horizon 5 again and it worked fine. But since two days ago the game crashes when i click enter the first time, when it shows "continiue" everything freezes and i cannot for the life of it get farther than that point in he game menu's...

    i already tried uninstalling the game and reinstalling it, i also clicked "reset the app" in settings but that also did not work...

    does anyone have fix for that?

    Forza Horizon 5 keeps crashing out of nowhere (windows 11)

    The only way to stop it is to go to task manager /start up / disable Microsoft one drive / restart the game and it works for hours for me!

    I tried everything before hand that was advised, in the end for me, this worked.

    It seems ,knock out anything else that is running in the background that conflicts with the game.

    I still can not save the settings for Fanatec wheel and pedals though .

    it now gave me the 0xc0000005
    error, do note that when i enter the game with internet off it goes fine but when i am connected to the internet it almost always crashes

    Hi,

    The URL you've hyperlinked is the same for both links. I can't find anywhere where it says Forza 5 does not run on Windows 11.

    I'm not sure how you have lost access to your progress and in-app purchases, that is likely a separate issue. However, Windows 11 is not in beta, it's a full commercial release. It's been on general release since October 2021. Forza Horizon 5 is designed to run on both Windows 10 and Windows 11.

    There should no incompatibilities for games between Windows 10 and Windows 11. I'm a PC gamer and I play Forza Horizon 5 via Windows 11 and it's working perfectly.

    If you can provide some more details we may be able to help you further.
