Forza Horizon 5 Installation Location??

I was in the middle of downloading forza horizon 5 and had a power bump in my home. Upon restarting my PC, I cannot resume my current FH5 download (in fact it does not register I had ever started downloading it at all), yet the SPACE that the last download took is still filled. I would like to be able to resume my DL but at the very least would like to get rid of the 70+ gb of deadweight now stuck on my SSD. I do not have a lot of free space on this drive and to delete random stuff until I am able to fit the game in its entirety is not exactly plausible for me as it would take hours to remove the small little bits to free up the space to restart the download.

I guess what I am asking for is the location of the file that WAS being downloaded so I can delete it myself and restart the download. Thanks!

Ok, if you are planning to reinstall Windows 11 and want to keep the Forza Horizon 5 installation on your D drive without having to download it again, there is an approach you can try. Be sure to back up your important files before making any changes to your system.

Back up the game installation folder Go to the location where Forza Horizon 5 is installed on your D drive and copy the entire game folder to a safe place. Typically, the default installation location for Microsoft Store games is "C:\Program Files\WindowsApps". Locate the Forza Horizon 5 installation folder within that location.

Perform the reinstallation of Windows 11 Follow the process to reinstall Windows 11 on your computer as you normally do. This will format your C drive and reinstall the operating system.

Once you have completed the reinstallation of Windows 11, go to the location where the Forza Horizon 5 installation folder was on your D drive and check if the folder is still present. In some cases, reinstalling Windows may have deleted the game installation folder.

If the Forza Horizon 5 installation folder is deleted during Windows reinstallation, you can copy the backup folder you made in step 1 back to the original location on your D drive.

Verify the integrity of the game After restoring the game installation folder, launch the Xbox or Microsoft Store app and verify the integrity of the game. This will allow the application to detect existing game files and perform any necessary repairs or updates.

Microsoft Store installation files are located in the WindowsApps folder on your hard drive, you will need to take ownership of the folder to enter and delete the files.

after deleting a bunch of random stuff until I had the space to restart the download it now gives me the option to restart my PREVIOUS download. awesome but also kinda spooky and annoyed

I can’t install Forza horizon 5

This is what helped me and got Forza to download.
1. Go into the Microsoft Store and search Forza Horizon 5 Standard Edition.
2. Next you want to click on Forza Horizon 5 Standard Edition and you want to click Install from the Xbox app.
3. This will take you to the Xbox app and when it takes you to the Forza game scroll down and look at the tab named "Included in this bundle" And click Forza Horizon 5.
4. This should take you to the regular Forza Horizon 5 game rather than the Standard Edition, And then you want to click install and this should download the game.
