Forza Horizon 5 Crashes after Intro Everytime.

Good afternoon,

I recently downloaded Forza Horizon 5 from the Microsoft store on PC. Upon downloading it and launching it for the first time it worked.

Now every time after that when I went to revisit the game it crashes after the intro, when I click enter to load my profile and start playing. The game will freeze and close with no error codes or messages. This is the only game that does this. My $3500 PC can run any other game with ease. but Forza Horizon 5 is the only issue.

I went to my event viewer and I found the exception code: 0xc0000005 in refrence to why it was crashing.

I have tried every single fix that has been posted online, watched many YouTube videos, tried everything I can, and now I'm here.

A lot of the tutorials want you to disable anti virus, do a hard drive scan for corrupted files, disable startup services, make a new user account etc etc I can go on and on. I have tried all that. Why do you need to do all these prerequisites in order to play a game? and it still not work?

If you read the reviews for Forza on the microsoft store, read youtube comments, visit forums, this seems to be a issue with an insanely large amount of Forza players on PC.

I just want to play the game I purchased. is there really a fix out there or do the Devs need to rollout an update and fix there game.

There is nothing wrong with my PC. I seen this page.

The issue is with within the area of the Microsoft Store and Forza 5. Ive been trying to find a work around for days.

Same for me. I uninstalled Xbox Console Companion, repair\reset Xbox app and then reinstalled it. I don’t know if these actions helped or something else, but now everything works.

Reinstalling didn't help. We ended up factory reseting his pc. Now it has worked just fine for about a week.

Same for me. Just installed the game, playeyed through the intro and then it just crashed. The second time the same thing happend.

Has reinstalling the game worked for you? because I am having exactly the same problem, as soon as the intro of the game finishes I´m thrown into a black screen which stays until the game closes itself. I have tried all of the methods to solve the problem except for the antivirus, hope that it works. Let me know if you found the way to solve the issue
