It seems like that you’re having trouble with Forza Horizon 5. According to our research, there are several reasons why the game might crash on PC. One of the most common causes is that your PC doesn’t meet the minimum requirements for the game. You can check if your PC meets the requirements by going to the game’s official website.

Another reason why the game might crash is that there are conflicts with other software installed on your PC. For example, antivirus or anti-malware software can sometimes interfere with the game. You can try disabling these programs temporarily to see if it fixes the issue.

If none of these solutions work, you can try resetting the game. To do this, go to “Apps & features” in Windows settings, locate Forza Horizon 5 from the list of installed apps, click on it and select “Advanced options”. Then navigate to the reset subheading and select the reset tile.

The error message you provided is related to the application-specific permission settings. 2. Expand Component Services.
   
3. Expand Computers.
   
4. Right-click on My Computer and select Properties.
   
5. Click on the COM Security tab.
   
6. Under Launch and Activation Permissions, click Edit Limits.
   
7. Add the user account that needs permission to launch and activate the COM Server application with CLSID {2593F8B9-4EAF-457C-B68A-50F6B8EA6B54} and APPID {15C20B67-12E7-4BB6-92BB-7AFF07997402}.
   
8. Grant Local Activation permission to the user account.
   
9. Click OK to save the changes.

Based on your description, you are launching issues with Forza Horizon 5. You successfully isolate the issue by locating the cause of it and you found out that the antivirus blocked the game. After resolving the launch issue, you have seen error message of the game crash. You then updated us with the new issue to be showing error code: 0x80070005, which is closely related to Windows update concerns. The latest reply you shared is about the issue that may be related to DNS problem, and you have shared the logs too.

I would say you have seen a lot of issue to a specific game alone. We appreciate the time you have waited for our response and let us get started to see a resolution to this issue. Before we get started, we would like to know few things about your issue.

1. May we know if you installed Forza Horizon 5 through Xbox app or different store?
   
2. Is this the only game. that you faced this issue with? If not, please provide us list of games with this issue.
   
3. Since there are times, you have mentioned permission settings, may we know if you are the administrator of this computer/laptop?
   
4. After you turned off the Avast antivirus, is your Windows Security turned on?
   
5. Are you part of Xbox Insider or PC Insider?
   

We notice that our colleague's suggestion for troubleshooting did not work. Since we saw the error code: 0x80070005, we would like to provide you steps that is related to Windows and Xbox itself. If any case, you did not use Xbox, it is still fine to continue performing all the steps here (you'll have to skip the last two troubleshooting though):

• Restart device -
  
  • This will clear your computer’s memory/RAM.
    
• Keep your Windows updated -
  
  • Install PC updates including Optional Update. Guide - Update Windows
    
    • Settings > Update & Security (Windows 10) or Windows Update (Windows 11) > Check for updates > download updates and install > restart device and wait for the update to be done.
      
  • If you have issues with update, please check the troubleshooting steps available here - Troubleshoot problems updating Windows.
    
  • Update your Windows and Windows drivers:
    
• For the best game performance, make sure your system’s video card drivers (or display adapter drivers) are up to date. Drivers are available on the support website for your computer manufacturer, or if your computer system is custom built, on the video card manufacturer’s support website. Updating video card drivers can resolve game crashes, improve frame rates, and improve overall game performance.
  
• Update Xbox app and Gaming Services from Microsoft Store
  
  • Launch Microsoft Store app on Windows by searching it on Windows search bar.
    
  • Select Library > Updates & downloads > check if an update is available for the Xbox app or Gaming Services app.
    
  • If an update is available, select Update.
    
• Sign out your account on Microsoft Store and Xbox app. Make sure you are signed in to Microsoft Store and Xbox app with the same credentials.
  
• (EA App) Close both Xbox app and EA app and relaunch the Xbox app.
  
• Uninstalling and reinstalling Gaming Services.
  
  • Right-click the Start button and select Windows PowerShell (Admin).
    
  • Type this command one at a time, press enter and wait:
    get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers
    start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN
    
  • Install the app on that page and select Yes when you receive the User Account Control (UAC) prompt.
    
  • Restart your device and try to install the game again

I tried to do it but none would work.

I got a new error though. It seems its a dns problem.
