Forza Horizon 4 XBox One connection issues

So i've been playing the game. at first when I couldnt connect i was ok with it, was focused on the wacky & fun showcases. But, i've beat all 5. i'm ready to squad up. Every time i try to connect it says that it can't connect to the Live configuration servers.
Convoy wont work either (I'm assuming they're linked though). Please help!

• What digital content did you purchase? (Forza Horizon Standard Edition, Forza Horizon 4 Ultimate Edition)
• What device are you using? (Xbox One, Windows 10)
• Do you have an active
  Xbox Live Gold Subscription?

I would recommend to try this Xbox one troubleshooting for
Multiplayer Connection test on Xbox One.

If the error message is on Windows 10 PC, please try
Troubleshooting gameplay issues on Windows 10.

Thinking about it, i just straight up might not be able to play MP on Forza. Real slow connection and all. For reference I am running on an Xbox One S.
