Forza Horizon 4 won't launch on Windows 11

Branch new clean installation of Windows 11 (Version 21H2 Build 22000.194).

I cannot launch Forza Horizon 4, installed from the Xbox Application.

My PC more than meets the required spec (Ryzen 9 5900X, Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090, 32GB RAM). I have gone through all the support steps listed here. None have resolved the issue. When I launch the game, the splash screen appears for a few seconds, then disappears.

As I have mentioned, I have already gone though the recommended support steps listed on the hyperlink above. I have attempted to reset the application, and reinstalled twice. None help. My drivers are all up-to-date.

You can try to find the crash logs on the Windows software known as Event Viewer. There, find Forza Horizon 4 and check what's the crash log around the time the game stopped working.

Thanks for your fast response. Although I'm happy to reinstall Windows 11, it seems like a drastic step. Forza Horizon 4 is the only application that I'm having issues with, all my other Xbox titles play absolutely fine. I agree that KERNELBASE.dll is important, but I feel something else is causing the exception with that library.

I have seen some guidance that suggests disabling the "nahimic service" may help, but unfortunately I am still having the same issue. I have even tried installing the latest "2015 - 2022 C++ redistributables", again, this did not solve the issue.

Is there anyway I can access the game start-up logs anywhere? Surely start-up errors are written to a file.

Edit: I am having the same issue as this person. Except their advice doesn't help me.

I really dont wanna pay another 60$ for forza. BUT for some reason the game started to work out of no where. i didnt change anything and just left it, a week or 2 later i tried to run it again and it worked for some unknown reason.

so i did as u said in the bios for the app.
restarted the pc it still didn't work.
I don't want to do a clean install as I don't wanna recover my data later.
so will a reinstall, using the media tool, while keeping my apps and data, will that suffice?

Based on the fault that is reported on the log you've shown, it seems that you might have a problem on your installation of Windows 11, or the game isn't working on that operating system correctly yet. I'd recommend you to do a reinstall of your Windows installation, because the KERNELBASE.dll is a highly important file to have an issue with.
