    Forza Horizon 4 will not launch without Gamepass


    I bought a new Xbox One S for my son in December. It came with a 2 week free Gamepass.

    I also bought a disc edition of Forza Horizon 4 which he has loaded onto the Xbox and has been playing.

    The free Gamepass has run now out. When he tries to play Horizon 4 he gets a message saying he needs to renew his Gamepass subscription before he can play.

    I see from plenty of online forums that this is a known issue.

    Can anyone tell me how to fix this so he can play his game.

    Yes. When you own a game on disc, the disc needs to be in the drive so the system can see you have a license to play itm it wasn't required before because of the Game Pass subscription.
