Forza Horizon 4 stuck on "Joining Life Session" on XBox Series X.

I have a brand new Xbox Series X that I purchased on Thanksgiving day. Opened it, ran all the updates, installed a couple games and updated them. I sit down to start playing and now I have no access to the map, any objectives, or anything, really. All I can do is drive around in the car that is loaded.

This is absolutely NOT what I was expecting from Xbox. After spending that much money. All that pops up when I search the help database is PC issues. How do I fix thus on the X?

Check your network connection. Make sure you have a stable and high speed internet connection. You can check your internet speed by visiting a speed test website.

1) Restart your Xbox and the update check may fix minor problems.

2) Sign out and sign back in to your Xbox account. This may fix authorization problems.

3) Reinstall the game. This may fix problems with the game installation.

4) Disconnect the console from wifi, open the game and reconnect.

If you have tried everything and the problem persists I recommend that you help Xbox by reporting the problem through the following link:

https://support.xbox.com/xbox-live-status

Click on the green button that says "Report" and fill in the information as detailed as possible.

This will let Xbox know that there is a problem with Forza 4 and they can work to resolve it as soon as possible.

So I talked with the support of xbox and they told me easily that for Forza Horizon 4 the Xbox Live is mandatory for playing online. Bought it, activated it and I could immediately join the online session.

same issue here "finding an online adventure session" all day long. FYI I am able to join online race for Forza Horizon 4
