    Forza Horizon 4 plays on PC but not xbox


    Hi there, I purchased horizon on the microsoft store a while back and have been playing on PC for a while no problems. purchasing also allowed me to install on xbox without needing to buy an additional copy which i did for a short while no problem. I've
    recently cleared the xbox and started again, but couldn't find any record via the xbox to reinstall Forza, so I installed remotely to the box via windows. all good. however when i go to launch the game It views it as if i don't own the game and won't let me
    play at all.

    I'm using the same gamertag for both, and the PC recognised the same account to install it on the box in the first place, so i'm at a bit of a loss as to why it's not letting me play now. any ideas??

    Note: I don't have an don't have an active gold membership as I don't need to play multiplayer online on the xbox, could this be my problem though? I don't think that this should make a difference, and i'm not really willing to subscribe to find out for
    the infrequent use it'll get.

    Hi there,

    I'm guessing this it the first time you're playing Forza Horizon 4 on PC,

    If you've lost your game data for Forza Horizon 4 on PC, having closed the game before allowing it to sync up, ( which it can take some time to do so ),

    To make sure you've not completely lost your save data, I would load Forza Horizon 4 on you're Xbox console and see if your save data is ok on the Xbox, if it is ok,

    I would then uninstall Forza Horizon 4 from you're PC, then reinstall it and allow it to fully sync up, which may take so time to do so , to see if it works / fixes the issue.

    I'm not sure about the Windows 10 update, as I've not had to do any update's to Windows for Forza over the years of going back and fourth playing Forza Horizon 4 between Xbox and PC and having to sync every time i do so.

    Which platform are you using for playing Forza Horizon 4? Is an Xbox One/S/X or a Windows 10 PC?

    Play Forza Horizon 4 in PC

    Forza Horizon 4 is available on both Game Pass for Consoles, and Game Pass for PC. As far as I'm aware, the game is also Xbox Play Anywhere, so even if you get Game Pass for Consoles, Forza Horizon 4 should still work on the PC.

    Either version of Game Pass should be fine, but I'd recommend getting Game Pass for PC just to make sure.
