Forza Horizon 4 PC closes/crashes randomly

Hi there Mayo welcome to the community forum! Christopher here, an Xbox fan just like you and has been on Xbox for years already. I would really love to make your day by helping you out. Are you getting an error code while crashing?

In any event, there are no error codes, it just closes on it's own.

No, typically there is no error code.

If it's crashing after the opening sequence then usually a background app or antivirus software can cause a conflict and crash to the desktop.

Any hardware monitoring or third party anti-virus/security software installed?

Have you got the latest drivers?

What's your PC spec?

mi Have 32Gb Ram, 3800x and 5600 XT.

No antivirus other than the normal wondows protection.

Had graphics driver issues initially and was getting regular program crashes and system timeouts before, but rolled back to a Nov 2020 driver and everything EXCEPT forza was working. I did reset but didn't reinstall.

Tried something, i checked the xbox app, updated it (this crashed twice and caused timeouts both times before it successfully updated) and then launched forza through there. Forza ran without crashing, left it in the background, had a video playing and left that running as well, then opened a few chrome tabs with all running YouTube videos. Left it like that for 30mins, no crash and was able to cycle through all successfully.

Before trying that, if I left Forza to idle for a few mins it would have closed on it's own.

Maybe was the Xbox app or maybe I had to launch through the xbox app.
