Forza horizon 4 keeps on crashing at the same place

As mentioned in the title, FH4 keeps crashing as soon as I'm finished with the tutorial and have chosen the car. As soon as the UI starts to appear on screen, the game freezes and the shuts down. I have found no valid reason for this whatsoever and I have tried many different ways that should have removed any potential reason for the shut down.

My computer specs are: I5 4690K, msi GTX 970, 16gb ram and msi z97 motherboard (also sufficient ssd memory).

i have seen this crash many a time when there is razor software involved, if you have a razor device and the software is running, close that software and then check.
