Forza Horizon 4 Has no sound after coming out of standby

No sound in menus or game other than cutscenes after waking up. Anyone else had this issue?

On;y way to resolve it is to come out of the game and restart it with the interminably long start-up sequence. It's getting very irritating.

I'm using the Xbox with an optical digital out to the amp if that makes any difference, but the TV has no sound either from just the HDMI lead.

New to the Horizon games

I personally love the Horizon series, but if I were you, I would buy Forza Horizon 4 since it is coming out soon.

It's a known issue in the game they're trying to patch it in the new update because many people have the same issue but it will be fixed as soon as they can

If Forza Horizon 4 keeps crashing on your PC, it may also be triggered by some RAM issues. In this case, it is necessary to clear your standby memory before you play Forza Horizon 4. You can clear your standby memory by using RAMMap, a freeware from Microsoft.

I have not played any game other than forza horizon 4, and I plan to play forza horizon 5 the day it comes out.

Here’s a list of fixes that have resolved this problem for other FH 4 players. You don’t have to try them all. Just work your way through the list until you find the one that does the trick for you.

Check If your PC meets the minimum system requirements for Forza Horizon 4
Install the latest game patch
Update your drivers
Clear your standby memory before playing
Disable your microphone for Forza Horizon 4
Reset Forza Horizon 4
Add Forza Horizon 4 as an exception to your third-party antivirus application
Update your Windows system to the latest version
Perform a clean boot
Reinstall Forza Horizon
