We bought Forza horizon 4 but the error code E:47-0 keeps coming up. We really hope you have a solution for us. Otherwise we vould like the money back.

It could be that your game save is corrupt. If you didn't uninstall your game yet, you can go to your computer's settings, your installed apps, select Forza Horizon 4, go into advanced settings, and reset the app (the option to clear all saved data stored
on your PC). When you open the game the next time, it will automatically download your save data from the cloud. If this doesn't work, here's another solution I found looking around, and might be hit or miss, but could be worth a shot. Go to "C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.SunriseBaseGame_8wekyb3d8bbwe\SystemAppData\wgs",
and delete all the folders in there (should be a "t" folder and another with a long number). Restart the game and hopefully your issue will be fixed. If this still doesn't work and you didn't progress much in the game, you may want to start your game anew.
Reset the app again, and when you restart your game, cancel the save syncronization.

This is a known issue on both pc and Xbox and is often the result of the profile not syncing up with the save data. I know how frustrating it can be. But try those troubleshooting tips on the forza website, provided above.

Forza Support finally responded. For people who have the same question, this is what they said:

"Your game save has been corrupted or overwritten and will need to be deleted from everywhere to avoid any further corruption issues. When your game gets corrupted, overwritten, there is a high probability
that it will retain some corruption issues or ghosted data. This will cause future issues with the save or you will run out of space faster. i.e. your garage will be full without having a full garage. We encourage a reset of data everywhere so you are, in
fact, starting from fresh and free of issues.

*Please note that this will wipe your save from everywhere and you will be starting fresh. There is no way to recover your old save.

Please follow these steps based on your device: You do not need to do both devices. If you have an Xbox, it's easier
to do it there.
How to delete your save from everywhere on Xbox

1. On Home, select My games and apps.
2. Highlight the game, press the Menu button on your controller, and then select Manage game.
3. In the menu on the left of the screen, scroll down to Saved Data, then highlight the saved data for your Gamertag on the right and press the A button on your controller.
4. You'll be prompted to confirm deletion of this game save data: (You need to select Delete Everywhere in order for this to work)
   
   *Delete from the console - removes the local copy of this save. You can get it from the cloud the next time you play.
   
   *Delete everywhere - removes your saved data from this console, the cloud, and all other consoles you play on.
   
   *Cancel - leaves your data intact.
   
   How to delete your save from everywhere on PC
   1. Make sure your PC Offline Permissions is set to ON
      • Open the Microsoft store.
      • Click on your profile image and then click settings.
      • Make sure your Offline Permissions is set to ON
   2. Start the game, wait for the start screen.
   3. Disconnect your PC from the internet.
   4. Go to your Windows 10 Settings --> Storage --> Apps & games -->Forza Horizon 4 -->Advanced Options -->Select the "Reset" button.
   5. Start playing for a few minutes to create a new local save
   6. Connect back to the internet.
      • If you are prompted to pick a save, you need to pick "LOCAL" for this time one. Moving forward, you will want to pick 'Cloud'"
