Forza Horizon 4 download fail

Hey All, I've been attempting to download and install Forza 4 (standard or unlimited) for the past day. Support article says to restart the PC, cancel and restart download, etc. All of which I have done. Please see details below:

XBOX App downloading to PC

Download failed at 79.4GB of 95.3GB

Error Code: 0x800700050 (permissions issue)

Not sure how to give myself more permissions as my profile on this PC is admin. Has anyone else had to deal with this?

Thanks for the response, it seems to force me to download "Forza Horizon 4" first. When I click pause it's download and then try to start download on "Forza Horizon 4 Standard Edition" it stays at "Downloading" and starts Downloading process of "Forza Horizon 4". I also tried logging into my account on different computer which worked.

This is because that's probably where your windows is installed, and also where the windows apps folder exists.

Please try the procedures below.

1. Open Settings ---> System

2. In the left column, choose the Storage tab and choose "Change where new content is saved"

3. Change "New apps will be saved to:" to any desired drive (in my case, D drive)

4. Wait 2 minutes and restart your PC.

5. The Microsoft Store has now created the necessary folders for the Xbox app to use.

6. Repeat steps 1 to 3 to change your location back to default if desired.

7. Now you can download your games from the Xbox app to your desired drive/partition

If the above solution doesn't work, try the alternative below.

Windows-Key --> System --> Storage --> Change where new content is stored --> change "New apps save to" the drive that you want.

Xbox App (PC) --> Your Xbox Gamer Icon (near top right) --> Settings --> General --> Change where this app installs games by default.

*If that doesn't solve the problem, you will need to do a clean install of windows

Either select the link under the message to go to Settings, or press the Windows key and selecting Settings > System > Storage. Select Change where new content is saved.

Using the menu under Where apps will be saved to, choose the drive you want.

So, yes, I can install only on the C: drive. It fails only both the D: and E: drives. Where I'd like to install the game, of course.

Thank you for all the time and help, Mateus. I've got it installed on the C: drive and will attempt to install something else on the other drives via the above instructions. If successful i'll reinstall Forza on the D: drive.
