    Forza Horizon 4 Crashing on Startup


    Recently I had an issue with Forza Horizon 4 downloaded from the Microsoft Store. I updated windows and shortly after the game would not load. After reinstalling the game, having waited 36 hours for a download, the problem persisted. I would click on Forza Horizon 4 in my taskbar, only for it to load a gray screen and promptly close. In another rabbit hole search trying to find out how to uninstall Windows updates, it turned out to be that since I turned on manual date & time the game ceased to function.

    This post is for those who can't find the right answer in an overwhelming majority pool of people only suggesting to reinstall a nearly 80 GB application.

    There may possibly be a corrupted saved file on your console, causing the game to crash.

    Try performing a Power Cycle:

    Restart your console from the Power Center

    1. Press and hold the Xbox button in the center of your Xbox One controller to open the Power Center.
    2. Select Restart console.
    3. Select Restart.
