    Forza Horizon 4 Crashing before game loads in.


    Hey all,

    I am having an issue with FH4. So after I get to the main menu and press start game it does the splash screens, then the screen goes grey, then the app crashes.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    P.S. I am on the latest drivers and update of windows 10 and my specs say I should be able to run the game.

    Windows 10 21H2

    I have Sophos home running in the background, could that be the problem?

    EDIT: Uninstalled Sophos and it isnt the problem.

    Hi,

    With the exception of incompatible hardware, from almost all of the times this issue occurs on the Forza games (pretty much all of them), it's been typically caused by incompatible application running in the background. The biggest culprits are third party antivirus applications.

    We can't guarantee a fix for your issue, but we can try to help. What are your PC specs?

    Quite possibly yes. It won't be possible to completely disable it, you'll need to uninstall it. However, before you do this, see if you can add the installation of the game to the anti-virus exclusion list in Sophos. If that doesn't work, uninstall it.

    This isn't a guaranteed fix. It's merely troubleshooting. It may or may not work.
