Forza Horizon 3 Will not download

Game refuses to download. Will not even download the installer, keep getting the error code 0x8242020. Windows is updated to the Anniversary Version. Good internet connection. It just does not want to download. Tried Microsoft support and xbox support and
they could not find the issue. Any ideas?

There was an issue related to downloading Forza yesterday, primarily affecting Xbox One but it's conceivable it was causing Windows issues too.

Could you try again today? The issue seems to have cleared up, so let us know if it's not working or you're still seeing the same thing.

Did Support have you run through any troubleshooting steps?

Can you turn the PC off and on again and try again?

I have turned my PC on and off multiple times. Logged out of Microsoft and logged back in multiple times. Made sure my Nvidia drivers are up to date. Running latest Windows Version. Checked internet connection. Everything seems to be checking out.

Support had me reset my windows store cache with no luck and check main systems for problems with no luck as well.

 

Found the problem. Had to change the default save location for apps from the windows store from my main drive (C to my game drive (D. There appears to be a problem with the drop-down menu save location. Now it is installing without issue
