Forza Horizon 3 great on Xbox, not starting (crashing or hanging) on Windows

Ok I'll add my Forza Horizon 3 experiences. Got a license key online for the standard digital edition. Redeemed it on live, and started downloading it on my Xbox One S 2TB. While that was downloading, I went to the Microsoft Store on my Windows 10 Pro PC
(i5-4590 3.3Ghz, 16GB, GTX 970) and started the download. Within two hours it was installed, the Xbox took another 3-4 hours to download. Latest Anniversary and Updates, as well as Geforce drivers.

I haven't been able to play on the Windows machine so far. As described by others. Just after a reboot, i start Horizon 3 and it crashes straight away. Don't get to see a window or an error message of any kind. Can't find anything in the process list either
that resembles the Horizon game. Trying to start it again for a 2nd or further time on the PC gives me a window with a nice Forza Horizon 3 image (the one with the Lambo and jumping Ford) but it seemingly hangs. No idea what it is doing as I don't see any
activity on the harddrive and the CPU seems mostly idle as well. The only thing I can do is close the window without out any error message (and I have no idea if there is a log file somewhere?!). Tried both on my native 2560x1440 resolution as well as the
lower 1920x1080.

Strangely enough, after this closing of the Horizon 3 window, Windows seems to be in some funny mode that I can no longer left click the bottom bar of my Windows, i.e. can't click the left Windows logo, type anything into the Cortana "Ask me anything" box,
nor open the action centre on the right!? I can still right click the Windows logo and get the Menu from "Programs and Features down to Desktop". The Xbox App also no longer seems to startup, i.e. hangs in its initial green screen, where normally it would
go through the rotating circle in the middle indicating it is connecting, before getting a screen with options. It never gets there, unless I first reboot the system again...

P.-S.: Forza Motorsport APEX and for instance GTA V at 2560x1440 resolution are working fine, and so do the White Xbox controllers happily via Bluetooth. Good thing I can at least play fine on the Xbox and it is satisfying!

Windows 10 Xbox APP crashes 98% on all video uploads after update

Many people are having this problem, Xbox APP just crashes at 98% of the video upload. It's not from using a 3rd party editor, I use the official XBOX app to upload and get the same results. 98% Xbox APP crashes, video does not get uploaded to our feed. Pictures
do upload without issue. I've tried trimming clips to 30 seconds or less, same result. Now this only starting happening after one of the recent Xbox app updates on Windows 10.

For me it happens constantly on Forza Horizon 3,Gears of War 4, and now Quantum Break for Windows 10.

Forza Horizon 3 and Gears of War 4 has told me numerous times after taking vids/screenshots in Windows 10 that it doesn't even know what the game is hah.. "unknown game". Can't upload much because of the crashing issue on videos.

This is on the MSFT side of things, not the uploader's system files or hardware.
