Forza Horizon 3 Crashing/Freezing

Before I say anything else, yes, this is on Xbox One.

After a couple of hours of gameplay, I've found that FH3 likes to lock up or crash to the home screen. From my experience it seems to happen shortly after the game has autosaved. One time it crashed, it was just after I passed through a speed trap after
discovering it, then turned around and passed through it again about 10-15 seconds later. (The speed trap I had just discovered before the crash was still "discovered" after I restarted the game, hence my autosave suspicion.) I've also noticed that the game's
visuals will lock up for a half second at a time on occasion.

Some observations into my problem in particular include:

• I've had this happen twice in a short period of time, after having no issues for the first 5-6 hours of gameplay. In one of those instances, I knew that the game had just been saved.
  
• Both times the game crashed was during gameplay in the Outback.
• I had a similar problem in FH2 where the game would crash, except under different circumstances: 2 crashed in menus and was stored on a different storage medium. (I had FH2 on the console's internal drive, whereas I have FH3 on an external drive.)
  
• Not sure if this would mean anything, but I noticed that the Epiath radio station is a bit strange in how it cuts off DJ commentary in the end. I had Epiath on the second time it crashed; Can't remember the first time but if it wasn't that station, it would
  have been Groove. I may include playing with another radio station as part of my own troubleshooting, as I believe there's a chance the two are linked, much like with autosave.
  

I'm going to be troubleshooting it on my own, but aside from typical steps (redownload, etc...) if anyone has any ideas, please let me know.

(As an aside, I've seen other communities where XB1 players are also experiencing problems)

the title gives it away my game (Forza horizon 3) is frequently freezing and later crashing it can be easy to solve by reloging (loging out then back in again) but is still a neusunce and frequent

I would start with a Power Cycle:

support.xbox.com/.../power-cycle-console

and if that doesnt help out try the reinstalling / redownloading as you said above.

You could also try to move the Game to Internal drive if on a external or the other way around if your using additonal storage devices.

It is a known issue that Turn 10/Playground games are working on a patch for.

 

Not so much a power cycle, but a cold reboot seems to have done the trick for now. I'll still be keeping an eye out, though.

 

HI, I'm playing FH3 ultimate version in Japan.

When I trying Bucket List #15 and beat it, it freeze up.

I tried to remove and reinstall, but it had the same result.

I guess it is problem of localization for Japan.

i always have freezing problems and its a digital copy and it happened on my physical copy too which annoyed the hell out of me what the hell is wrong with u turn 10 and playground why does these 2 wonderful games crash alot after a few hours of gameplay
then it starts to freeze and then after a few freezes it crashes

 

Mine mostly crashes when I put a car up for auction ._.

Then the car is there still but its white in the whole car slot..when I reclaim it from the auction I have two of the same car they need to fix that

 

So I spend ages on a custom vinyl paint job, pressed save and it crashes resulting in all of my work being lost. ;/

 

I hate to Me Too, but my version also crashes. A lot in fact. tonight I spent more time power cycling than actual game play. I am really disappointed and frustrated that a game as buggy as this ever made it out of the development cycle. Has product testing
been forgotten ? I mean seriously, If I was a product manager who approved this product for release with this many bugs I'd be fired in no time. My biggest mistake is I purchased the digital down load right off the ms store page. Once I saw the no refunds
message, my instincts told me to pass and purchase a physical copy, read amazon or gamestop. This way I have a chance in hell to return the disc & package. But I'm screwed and this product in it's present form SUCKS. It's no wonder MS is losing market share
to Sony and Nintendo. This was my first Xbox (one) and will be my last. MS needs to step of the bar a bit, their qc across the board is reaching new lows. to borrow a quote from a movie, help us Billy G you're our only hope... Good Luck people
