Forza Horizon 3 adds the Halo Warthog

So there i am,driving around in my Lambo,other Lambo's,Bugattii's,Ferrari's etc all driving around when out pops this 3 wheel Robin Reliant thing & guess who's drivatar it is? Yep,Lofty lol

Probably popped out to get some Ovaltine before his afternoon nap

Weird thing in my game. I have seen all my friends/family drivatars but the ones that haunt me the most are Mr Boozyhead, Genchy and Marknally

 

That's probably because we're all "Pro Drivatars" the game has to give you something to aspire to

 

This game is absolutely awsome, i did disable the option to play against PC players, found most of the time they elastic band around all over the place, no issues since i did that. besides, id rather play console to console, level playing field then.

 

well that is the start of the downfall of this game, apparently people have cracked the encryption and left it open for modding on the pc side, will definately not be using cross play fetures of this game now, this is the problem with mixing console with
pc.

 

Got 3 more championship races and 4 exhibition races to do and that's the main races done.

Still loads to do, bucket challenges etc but I think after this week I'll take a break what with XCOM 2 ready to go and Mafia 3 on Friday and come back to it when the first expansion lands.

I've had so much fun on this, best arcade type racer out there in my opinion but I have a couple of gripes.

As big ( not as big as developers claimed ) as the area is and as fantastic as it looks I did find it sometimes to be a bit bland and boring. Just huge areas of trees etc with nothing really interesting to see.

It's great that there's a huge amount of championship/exhibition races but quite a few of them were on the same routes, just different class cars so a bit more variation would have been nice.

 

Yeah,underneath all those shiny,pretty graphics it is a pretty basic game.

The map isn't that big & quite bland at times & no where near twice the size of the map in FH2 as was claimed.

Having to do the same races twice gets old & as for the drifting,don't even get me started on that rubbish.

It does look stunning & it is quite fun just driving around but for me personally F1 2016 is a much better racing game & yes,i know they are not quite the same thing but you get my drift (see what I did there?)

 

^ Im glad I didn't jump right in because of the shiny visuals now. I still have fun playing Forza 5,6 and Horizon 2 every now and then, so think I will stick with those now!

I always find if you blitz a racing game it becomes a bit stale, so I tend to mix em up a bit with other games.

I agree the map is not as big as claimed but I quite like the design of it and find it better than FH2 which I wasn't keen on. Also agree that drifting is a complete load of tosh and shouldn't even exist in life

Agree F1 is still the pinnacle of racing games as far as I'm concerned which reminds me I've neglected that game completely and probably will whilst I continue to shoot aliens lol

I'm not saying it's a bad game,not by any means but I prefer track racing & get annoyed by things like oncoming traffic etc in these sort of driving games & underneath it all this hasn't got as much to do in it as it could have.

As Lofty said,it is the best arcade racing game on the Xbox One but then again there isn't really any competition.

I can see why people are enjoying this but F1 2016 is a much better game for me.

 

Track racing doesn't have enough jumps for me

I know what you mean about drifting though Daft. I'm garbage at it so that might be more why I don't like it lol

 

I hate drifting but can see why it's in a game like this which is fine but the other traffic when you are doing a drift event is really annoying to say the least
