Forza Horizon 2 world

hey guys,

what do you think of forza horizon 2 world? and environment, for those who played the demo.

i honestly expected the world to look much better, the trees are not well done, the environment IMO could have been better, maybe less trees but ones that look better.

the cars look amazing, so the ppl very well done for a open world driving game, but i can't put my finger on what it is missing but i feel it is missing something

Turn 10 didn't make Forza Horizon it was created by Playground Games and while I agree with the story the gameplay was great.

Horizon wasn't about beating it, it was about enjoying the experience and having fun in the open world with friends.

 

DID ANYBODY BUY THIS GAME!!!!!!?????

I should have said I am the only loser in the world who bought this game for the XBOX 360 lol

comparing this game to forza horizon 2, as far as quality goes, forza horizon 2 has it down pack for xbox 360.

 

For an open world game that runs at a rock solid 1080p/30fps with full on weather and day/night cycles , I think its brilliant. Have a look at the Eurogamer article on it as they really highlight what it is doing very well

 

I think it looks fantastic, Don't really see what your seeing.

I'm with the OP; the environment doesn't have as much detail as I was hoping - the flora for example looks flat and simply disappears when you drive over it...

 

To be honest for what the game is and the shop pre of it they have done an amazing job with it, I didn't really get time to park up next to a tree and check out the textures of the bark was to busy racing through them trying to avoid them was having to much
fun to fare about the little details your not really going to see when your having a blast

I drive too fast to see all details,anyway.....

I think it looks amazing, and like the fact you can drive over the bushes, it keeps your speed up and keeps you in the race.

 

I like the fact that objects have different properties in terms of how they affect the car. Bushes you can just drive right through, garbage cans you can drive through but they slow you down a bit, metal light poles can be driven through but they slow you
down even more, big trees stop you dead in your tracks. It's really cool how there isn't just an on/off type of reaction to driving into objects in this game.

 

Look better? How much more realistic do you want the game to look? The detail of the scenery is so detailed. The weather detail, the roads, the buildings.

 

Anyway, like they say beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Just playing the demo once, convinced me to pre-order the game.

 

I love the weather effects, the open world driving. The car crashes are really awesome. A few times I was driving way to fast and got too close to a building the next thing you know I was airborne. Awesome!

There will be seven radio stations with over 150 tracks of music. I can't wait to hear The William Tell Overture while racing 160 mph through the countryside. The only thing they are missing are cops to chase you. But you don't need them as you enough
to worry about staying on the road an avoiding incoming traffic.

 

i am not saying anthn about all of the above you mentioned except for the flora, the trees and the bushes look old gen, like a bunch of 2 dimensional objects stuck together to for some sort of 3d model.

I am honestly very alarmed at this stage with all the cutbacks devs are inclined to make to hit 1080p, otherwise the X1 will be falling short of full HD...we can even see that in the games that are yet to be released
