Forza H 3 warthog code invalid?

Got a message from xbox with a code for Halo warthog but when I go to redeem the code, the code is invalid. Why?

I don't have any Forza games, but someday I might, and it would be nice that if I should aquire Forza H3 later on in life, that the warthog would be playable. So why message me this code and not validate it?

Do you get an error when trying to redeem the code? And have you tried redeeming it on Xbox.com yet?

Code invalid is what i got, no if a code says invalid via 360/x1 console then it stands to reason that trying it by PC to xbox website will produce the same result. Besides, i have no 100% working PC and rely on my consoles to connect to the web.
