    Forza download - Error code


    I have been trying to download Forza for weeks. Whenever I try to download it I get this error code: 0x80073cf9.

    I have tried all the suggestions on the microsoft 'help' link with the error code. Restarting. Removing temp files. Running disk clean ups etc. None of it has worked!

    Any other advice? Have a very annoyed son who is desperate to play it!

    no, it only happens with forza horizon 5 and i don't get any error code, it just cancels the download by itself

    I am getting the same error code too, tried to download a couple of apps and doesn't work. Also tried to download a free car DLC pack for Forza 5 and it doesn't work...

    Also worth noting is that if you have anything downloading when you try to launch a game that can give this same error code, so if you do have anything downloading pause the download and try Forza.

    Hi there Luna welcome to the community forum! Christopher here, an Xbox fan just like you and has been on Xbox for years already. I would really love to make your day by helping you out. I suggest uninstalling the app completely! Everytime that it tried to give me a hard time I do this and it works wonders! Here are the steps!

    Hello

    • I do have the latest Windows Updates.
    • There are no error codes that come up, the progress bar just flicks on and off.
    • I am able to download other games, it is just the Forza Horizon 5. I can even download Forza Horizon 4 with no trouble.
