Forza 7 Updates Corrupted my Xbox Endurance Games

I started a 1,000 lap long endurance race on Forza 7 Free Play on April 15th 2018. I raced on the 8.44 mile Le Mans Circuit De La Sarthe Old Mulsanne Circuit, and got up to 270 laps. Then the Forza 7 mandatory update appeared on
my Xbox One X. I could not stop the update as I was in the middle of a long endurance race. I then had to let it update. Then I lost ALL my progress in the game! I got in touch with Xbox Customer support. I was told that "your game progress can be restored
within 24 hours after it will re-sync to your account". It never was restored!!

Then, I started another 1000 lap endurance race right after the update on Thursday, April 19th. I did not think another update would happen for awhile so I started the endurance race again. I'm taking a chance.

I have a fast car: a Bugatti Veyron Super Sport. It takes me 3 minutes, 40 seconds per lap on an 8.44 mile track. This time I got up to 625 laps. It took me 31 hours, or 8 days of playing; 5 hours each day I played my endurance race.

THEN IT HAPPENED AGAIN: THE UPDATE Only 9 days after the other one! The Mandatory update corrupted, or erased my race again, Or did it? I have been told from Xbox Customer support that the game progress is "in the cloud", and that it can be restored and
"re-sync to your account". I'm still waiting...

My question is; how can an endurance race be completed, up to 1,000 laps, without an update to Forza 7 corrupting the race? Is this race "saved via cloud" and can it actually be restored to my xbox console?

I need help in this matter. I am sure other racing fans like me are in the same position.

It is very important that gamers know that if they’re in the middle of a long endurance racing game like me, that updates on your Xbox must be shut off before you start an endurance game. What happened to me was that I’ve gone into 19 hours in total so far
( lap 270/1,000) playing Forza 7 racing game and I was progressing very well, and then the Forza 7 update came on, and I lost all my progress and I was not happy at all until I found out I didn’t shut off the updates in my settings of Xbox!! 19 hours of progress
were all lost! I will move forward for a good progress as I shut off all my updates on Xbox until I’m done. Hope that helps! Have a good day!

 

What is the best game for a real 24hour race

Like everyone else has said GT5 is the only game that has true 24 hour races. Forza 4 doesnt have any endurance races at all. Forza 3 has endurance races but nowhere near 24 hours worth.

In order to sync games with your stored progress you would need to be online and then be signed in with the account that played the game, then when you launch the game it should automatically sync the files saved in the cloud.

Are you seeing the files sync when you launch the game?

Is your console online while you are completing the race?
