    I'm running Forza 7 on Windows 10 and it keeps crashing to Desktop after it freezes for a short while.

    In the event viewer I see:

    Exception code 0xc0000005 seems generic and this always seems related to amdxc64.dll (AMD direct x 12 driver).

    This game was working absolutely fine before and other games continue to run fine.

    I have tried to:

    -Reinstall the game (several times)

    -Reinstall AMD WHQL drivers and factory reset the card

    -Change the AMD drivers from WHQL certified to the latest ones

    -Enable Windows Push to install service

    -Removed car packs

    All to no avail, I need assistance in getting the game that I purchased to run.

    Something that you can try is reinstalling W10 on your PC as it comes here:

    In the part of Windows 10 click on "Reset this PC" these instructions will help you to solve the problem, you can even leave your important files! I had the 0x000 error codes before and this was the only thing that solved it for me!

    Whilst the Exception Code is quite generic, it does point to a possible issue with your System Files (especially as the fault is indicating a DLL file).

    One thing I would try, assuming you haven't already done so, is to open an Elevated Command prompt (am guessing you know how but just in case: Windows icon bottom left of screen, start typing "command prompt"; click "run as administrator") and type the following:

    sfc/scannow

    It will scan your system files and attempt a repair for any corrupt/broken ones

    Agreed, it's a generic error but always related to amdxc64.dll which seems to be the AMD direct x 12 driver.

    I've tried a clean install, re-installing WHQL drivers, installing the latest non-WHQL drivers from AMD, reset the GPU.

    However this keeps returning, and only for Forza 7.

    I tried the scan and no corrupt files were found.
