Forza 6 Mod features detailed

Forza 6 developer Turn 10 has officially revealed the new Mods feature.

Mods are designed to bring a new layer of depth, challenge and fun to the career and free play races where Mods will be available to use. In essence, Mods give the player the chance to affect the race, whether through adding additional challenges, changing
the handling of the car, or offering additional bonuses at the end of a race. In many ways, Mods give the player the chance to dare themselves to do better in a race, and reap the rewards if they are successful.

Mods also create an additional "risk for reward" system to encourage experimentation with higher difficulty assist settings.

Here's a few examples of the three categories of mods:



Dare

Dare Mods challenge the player to get out of their comfort zone and perform with specific driving requirements that will test their skills. Players will earn credits bonuses if they succeed in a race with a Dare mod added. All Dare Mods can be used as many
times as the player likes, but only one dare can be used at a time.

Examples include:

Severe Power Decrease – Power decreased by 8%. Hit the objective to earn +20% credits

Manual With Clutch – Manual transmission with clutch. Hit the objective to earn +20% credits

Back of the Pack – Start in 24th Grid Position. Hit the objective to earn +30% credits






Crew

Crew Mods give the player a specific performance advantage during a race, depending on the Crew Mod used. Crew Mods don’t offer specific bonus rewards but can give players an advantage in a race.

These include:

Chassis Expert — -7% weight, +3% grip

Braking Engineer — +20% braking, +5% power






Boost

Boost Mods give the players a specific advantage during a race or a bonus for performing well in a race. Boost Mods might increase the total amount of credits you can earn after a race, or give you a bonus to XP or credits for performing certain in-game feats.

Boost mods could include:

Pristine Drafting – Earn 3,000 credits for Perfect Drafts up to 18,000 credits

Ghost – Your car has no collisions for the first lap of this race

Superior Payout – Earn +60% credits for a single race

Forza 6 Direct feed gameplay.

It's been a while since ,i went to Forza hub.

Didn't know,we can start to unlock cars in Forza 6....

Even if i can't bring my Forza 5 garage into Forza 6,it's a cool new feature.

The full 2014/2015 Formula E field will be represented in Forza Motorsport 6.

Headlining the first post-E3 'Forza Garage' update, the announcement confirmed the Xbox One exclusive will feature all ten cars from the inaugural Formula E championship, including the title-winning car of Nelson Piquet Junior.

This also makes Forza Motorsport 6 the first ever racing game to feature a full field of Formula E racers, and the first since Forza Motorsport 5 to feature the Renault Spark SRT_01E single-seater (the chassis fielded by all teams in the 2014/2015 FIA Formula
E championship).

It's currently unknown at this moment in time whether this means any of Forza Motorsport 6's 26 track locations will also be linked somehow to Formula E.

The full car roster for Forza Motorsport 6 is expected to be disclosed in full shortly before the title's release later this year on 15th September in the United States.

Just in case people ask drivatars will not use mods.

 

Can see the "Ghost" mod being a pain unless there's now qualifying or they've greatly improved the drivatars.

Could always just stay at the back for the first lap I guess.

Anyway,should add a little something to the gameplay.

On a side note.

I've been a bit out of touch with gaming lately but I've pre-ordered/downloaded the Ultimate Edition, I've seen some say this will unlock earlier ( on the 10th September I believe ) while the standard edition ( disc and download ) releases on the 15th.

Others have said all versions release the same day, does anyone know? many thanks!

No idea lofty. I've always spent more time on forza doing time trials than actually wanting to complete every series event( which are many). So these type of challenges are more up my alley. Connect the achievements to them and I'm sold.

 

I've looked around a bit and it does seem that ( wherever in the world you are ) if you pre-order/download the Ultimate Edition you can start playing on the 10th September. Other editions you'll be able to play on 15th and 18th September depending on your
region.

Yop,playable september 10th for Ultimate edition owners....I thought game details on the marketplace were clear....Anyway,i'm ready.

Those mods are cool but not a feature that i will use right away....

I did look at the Xbox Store and see 10th September for the Ultimate Edition but have known the store to be wrong with dates in the past.

Anyway, that is a bonus, can't wait for the 10th
