Forza 5 will not install on my drive E:

Hi - just purchased forza 5 for my windows 10 machine (which is up to date on all system updates). It does not want to install on my E\ drive. Here is what I do:

1) start up Microsoft Store

2) to go My Library

3) set 'all types' to games

4) I see Forza Horizon 5 listed and i can press INSTALL .. which I press

5) it says to 'from your compatible drives pick one with at least 101.7 GB' and has a drop down with my C drive (which does not have 101gb free) or E drive which shows 118gb free so I select the E drive then press the INSTALL button

6) nothing happens and it goes back to step 4 above

Help?!

We understand that you are trying to download Forza Horizon 5 on a desired location and is unable to because you were in loop of choosing the drive. Let us check on this together so you will get back to gaming.

May we know if Drive E is a removable hard drive and formatted as NTFS?

Suggested Troubleshooting:

Restart device.

Keep your device and Xbox apps updated.

Turn off or disable antivirus, antimalware, VPN, Firewall and PC Optimizers that may block/quarantine any installation/downloads in your PC.

In PC Settings > System > Storage > Change where new content is saved > Temporarily change default to new hard drive (Drive E).

I'll recommend you try moving some apps to the E drive and create enough space on the C drive to install Forza 5.

It happens to every single game that I select my E drive and it still downloads on my C drive. I want to download and install Forza Horizon 5 on my E drive because I have 5TB of storage on it and 1TB on my C drive which is almost full.

Could this be caused because my E drive is exFAT which doesn't allow me to get into the WindowsApps folder? On my C drive I gave myself acces to the WindowsApps folder and all the folders under it. On my E drive it doesn't seem to work. The only thing I could find is that it is caused by exFAT.

Okay. I noticed for Forza 5 to successfully install on a D or E drive, you'll need to create enough space on the C drive that could accommodate the whole download file (about 150GB is needed). Once there's enough space on the C drive, the game will install successfully on the other drives.

I also forgot to mention, Forza Horizon 5 works just fine, and it is installed on drive C: but Forza Motorsport 7 has the problem and it is installed on drive D: (to save space on C
