Forza 5 "Weekend Only"

I just want to share that I think the Forza 5 "free for gold" weekend was a total mind "***". I didn't see it listed on the Xbox when I downloaded the game that the download was only for the opportunity to play during the weekend. I wouldn't have wasted
my weekend waiting for a mind numbing 40 gig download only to get to play the game for appox 20 minutes.

Don't put games in the "Free Games with Gold" if they are only DEMOS. Just so you know, even if it is a full game, it becomes a DEMO if you plan on taking it away after a set period of time.

I know I might be over reacting but it didn't help that for some strange reason I got hung up on over 6 times when I tried to call customer service. Even when I had you call me back, you hung up on me.

I will not purchase Forza Horizons 2 because somehow you'll probably pull that out from under my feet as well. Be sure to thank the genus who thought up this weekend "DEMO with Gold" promotion. He should get a raise... not.

That's exactly what they did. Forza 5 was free for the weekend:

I did not see the weekend "only" notification & downloaded 40 gigs of my data plan which is a sizeable chunk of my monthly limit....I AM NOT HAPPY ...there needs to be a better & more obvious notification during download process that it is only playable
for a short time

 

Sorry you're upset. However, the free weekend of Forza 5 was well advertised online including this post on Major Nelson's Blog

The game was free for the weekend only. It was not a demo but the full game with all features added (including earning achievements). After that you would have the choice to purchase the game if you liked.
