    I am having the unable to join game session issue but i dont use a superhub 2. is there a fix for this yet i've tried contacting microsoft on multiple outlets and no one is helping me.

    Having Issues Playing Forza Motorsport 5? -- CHECK HERE!

    If you're using the Virgin Media Superhub 2 and you're getting the message "Unable to join session" while trying to join a multiplayer session, never fear!
    We're aware of the situation and working with Virgin Media to get things resolved.

    Until then, Virgin Media has some workaround steps to change default settings on your device which should allow you to play online without issues.

    Unable to join game session in Forza 5

    So I recently got Forza 5 and was attempting to play multiplayer when the error message "unable to join game session" appeared. I tried many times and was invited to different games by different people, still with no luck. I have a xbox live gold membership
    and all my other games work fine online like call of duty ghosts or killer instinct. Please help

    Ok guys, so i fixed the problem. If you use an arris gateway with xfinity firmware then you have to power cycle it to get a firmware update. Apparently I haven't reset my gateway in months so when I finally did it started working for MP on forza. Forza
    5 uses xbox cloud which has specific network compatibility requirements.

    I believe that is a superhub 2 , this is from the "known issues" page...

    Known Issues

    This Gateway will sometimes cause issues connecting with cloud based games, resulting in a timeout with "Unable to join session" status message. This is due to the Gateway being configured to disable IPSec Pass-Through by default. IPSec Pass-Through is required
    to establish multi-player sessions. To resolve this issue, you must enable IPSec Pass-Through on the Gateway..

    There is a current known issue where the SuperHub 2 will cause constant disconnections in multiplayer-based games if on Wireless.

    The issue is currently being investigated by Xbox and Virgin Media.

    Can you try a connection test on your Xbox One? Do you get any errors? If so can you post back and also follow the troubleshooting steps
    here? If it is a strict or moderate NAT issue, see
    here.

    Bear in mind this may also be an issue on the end of the person you're attempting to connect to.

    Hey Tokiwon,

    Sorry to hear you're having issues playing Forza Online.

    What exactly is happening when you try to play a match online? Are you getting an error message or code?

    Have you tried running a Multiplayer Connection test on your console?

    Please let us know and we'll work from there.
