Forza 5 Not Launching...On 2 Completely Different Systems(And OS)

I am actually genuinely speechless at the moment.

I downloaded Forza 5 via my Gamepass Subscription couple weeks ago on my PC running Windows 11. It did not start. Small window pops up, says bla bla bla... Launching Game and then crashes without any error message.

Solutions I tried: Literally everything. There are tons of posts, threads etc. on the web regarding this issue so that could give you an idea how unacceptable this is.

My connection speed is 5Mbps, so downloading 116GB is not fun. Doing it 4 times without any result is beyond not fun. With my old system, I moved folders between my SSD and HDD back and forth. Didn't work. I uninstalled, reinstalled on both drives. Didn't work. I uninstalled GPU drivers with DDU and reinstalled. Didn't work.

But the cherry on top is, I changed my GPU and CPU recently. I did a hard reset on my PC. Formatted everything. Freshly installed Windows 10 this time. Downloaded all 116GB again. IT DID NOT WORK!

Can somebody explain this to me? Is there even an explanation? The game doesn't like my Mobo or something?

Ryzen 5 5600X

Gigabyte RTX 3080 Ti Gaming OC

MSI B450 Tomahawk Max

16 Gb RAM

Windows 10

Previous Build:

Ryzen 5 3600X

Palit RTX 3060 Dual

Yes, that's the only thing common between the two PCs, and right now you're the only one who's experiencing a problem like this recently

Honestly though, I am definitely not the only one having this issue right now. I am probably the only active thread but that doesn't mean all the other threads are solved. I believe there are almost hundreds other users with active threads (or participation) that simply gave up on this (like I would have been). That is a serious problem at the moment and both MS and Forza team should focus on a solution and fast.

Anyway, I actually happened to find a "solution". I hard reset my PC again and now it works. 3rd times the charm I guess?

But I did something differently this time, I created a new Windows installation drive from scratch with the latest version.

BUT, resetting your PC should never be a solution.

(BTW I am the same person but my account just been reset for some reason and I can't take the same name)

This is just a guess, but checking the hardware specs for the PC, it seems that the common thing is the motherboard. Exists the possibility that the game isn't compatible with this specific motherboard + hardware configuration (yes, can be an strange coincidence)

As the problem is happening no matter which account you use and as you already tried basically everything from your side. The next step is report this problem to the Forza team:

Firstly, yes I did tried everything on that article.

And as for your suggestion, I am a little bit confused to be honest. You want me to try with another gamepass account? That I have to pay?

Sir there are 70+ different people describing similar issues after recent updates and thats in 1 thread! it is NOT isolated, it definitely was the recent updates.

I was actually joking about my mobo but honestly, it does seem plausible. (as absurd as it may be)

Anyway, you're right, nothing left to do but reporting it to Forza team. Thanks again.
