FORZA 5 downloaded but now missing

I recently bought an new XBOX One for my son, which came with a bundled digital copy of FORZA 5. We input the code and it seemed to download OK.

We did have to return the console due to a faulty disk drive, but I was assured that the content would still be available on the Microsoft account. A quick look on the new console showed it to be there. However all this happened literally hours before we
had to leave to go on holiday.

Upon return from holiday, the game has disappeared from 'My Games and apps' and is nowhere to be found on the console and if code is re-used, it just says that the code has already been used.

How can this game be recovered so that it appears on my sons account?

Any help appreciated.

They are sending me my missing components Monday. They have also given me 2 years of xbox live, forza 5 and dr3. Im happy now!!

 

Forza 4 Bonus Car (Amazon) not showing up

Hi,

I entered the redemption code from my preorder of Forza 4 from Amazon. The car downloaded, but does not show up in my Forza 4 garage. I have re-downloaded the car (via account management), but still do not see it in my garage. What am I missing?

Log in to the console with the gamertag that originally downloaded the Forza game then head to My Games & Apps and scroll all the way to the right. You'll see an option that says Read to Download. If the game is not on the console you can redownload it
from there.

Also, in case you weren't aware you can now add external storage to the console for more space for games. You can have two external drives at a time ranging in size from 256GB to 16TB of space. The drives must be USB 3.0 compatible.

We have signed in using both gamertags set up on the console, but neither have a Read to Download option within My Games and Apps.

Do you have any other thoughts?

 

Sorry to hear it. Please check each account at commerce.microsoft.com to ensure the code was added and you're looking at the right one.

After that you should call phone support for more assistance on this one to let them know the download has disappeared from your console and account.

You may also go to the game store and search for the game there and check out if it can be downloaded for free. If you redeemed it earlier it should be reading "install" there instead of buy.

Finally spoke to Microsoft support as suggested, as no trace anywhere of the game. They were really helpful and patient, and eventually managed to track down a Gamertag that my son had set up on the original console that he had forgotten about, where the
license resided.

All sorted and a happy son!
