Forza 5 data gone/cloud problems

My Forza 5 data is gone. I have seen many people in other forums who have had it way worse than me, people with levels over 100 when I was only nearing level 40 but I still have difficulty tolerating it. I went to a friend's house two days ago and signed
in with my profile on his console and my cloud saved data didn't sync properly. I didn't think anything of it until I tried to load up Forza today and discovered all my data was gone. I have a hard time justifying starting completely over, including having
to watch all the videos and listen to that lady's disembodied voice explaining the basics of things over again with no skip option, without any of my cars that I worked hard to get the credits for, not to mention all the other data like lap times (though it's
my understanding from others with the same problem that my car designs should still exist, I have yet to check that personally).

Since games evidently only save to the cloud and not locally (that is my impression, correct me if I am wrong- it's at least the case with Forza 5), every time I go to a friend's house it seems to me I'm left with a choice. I can either sign in as a guest
(if the game allows it, as it appears some games do not) and not have any of my equipment or data, or I can sign in with my profile and risk losing my data from an improper sync. That's a rather unnecessary compromise to actually get to play in the same place
as a friend, in my opinion. It encourages playing apart from each other rather than in the same location on the same Xbox One. And then it's difficult enough to communicate given that the new party chat system has yet to work for me but that's an issue for
another day.

I can't justify starting Forza from scratch again right now and I don't want to have to worry about losing my data in other games as well if I'm at a friend's house and playing with them. Obviously I would love to hear that I can somehow get my data back
but from what I've heard from others with the same issue, that doesn't appear to be happening regardless of the amount of proof you have of your previous level and credits. At the very least I'd like some assurance I don't have to fear losing data when loading
up my profile on other consoles in the future because it's hard not to worry about that now.

is anyone else having problems syncronising with the cloud for xbox 1 forza 5

 

game data lost

went to play forza 5 last night and it started syncing took a while but when it finished all my saved data had gone and tried making me start fom scratch tried a few things to resolve this like restore default settings and remove and reinstall gamertag but
looks as though all has gone unless someone knows anything else.Also my fifa pro has started from scratch looks like the cloud may have lost all my game data.

 

i am haven the same problem feel like never playing forza 5 again

 

Mine is ok, but i pray every night that the feature to back up save data comes in soon.

Think if you would have worked overtime at your job instead of playing all of those hours - you would have $100s or dollars.

There is a cost associated with loss of data - no one is getting younger.

I hope they fix this.

 

i lost 4 mil and all my dlc cars getting really tired of xbox feel like selling my xbox one and get a steam machine

 

I've lost everything. Was almost done with the game. Tried everything. Unplugged for 10 minutes & restore to factory settings. I'm a Playstation guy & bought the Xbox One because my friends said it was better. Big mistake. I couldn't play any game when the
internet or xbox live went down. Now your save games disappear for no reason. Huge waste of my time & money.
