Forza 3 - Halo Warthog redeem code not working

I received my code via xbox message, but when I try to redeem the code I get the message follow instructions that came with the message. There are no additional directions with the message. Please help.

Recently, I got Forza horizon 3 and as you know, if you played halo 5 or the mcc before, you would get a code to redeem the halo warthog in forza horizon 3 sent to you. Well, I did not get a code to redeem a warthog and I have played both Halo 5 and the

Sorry to hear about the code trouble. Have you tried redeeming the code here on Xbox.com instead of through your Xbox One to see if there's any change with the redemption process for you? If not, let's give that a go

 

I have tried to redeem it via xbox.com with no success.

 

I was able to get the code to redeem via my xbox today. Thanks for your help and have no other requests.
