I was in a chat and my Xbox one reset itself causing me to reinstall all games. I am a preview member but recently opted out of the new dashboard. This happened after the update

The only other thing I can suggest without calling support again is doing a factory reset, then only signing in with the fake account you created above. Here is the link to reset your Xbox.

If your selling your Xbox One.

Reset the console to factory defaults. You're asking for trouble if you give them the console without erasing it.

Because the old dashboard is a previous version the only way to remove it is to do a factory reset on the console. When you opted out of the NXOE experience you DID initialize it. It is in the information provided regarding the process of opting out of
the BETA test.

I never read anything saying about a reset, nothing came up as I was choosing to opt out of the dashboard

Hey there fellow gamer its common when opting out of the nxoe dashboard your console will factory reset itself it's recommended that you move all games and and key apps to an external hard drive and unplug the external hdd to avoid this casualty. It would
have showed up in the agreement we all agreed to when first starting the preview program.

It does state on the preview dashboard that within 72 hours of opting out of the program your console would be factory reset erasing all data on the internal hard drive. If you had an external drive attached to the console the reset would not have affected
the data stored on there or on the Cloud.
