Forum Updates? What Kind Of Jedi Mind Trick Is This?

So... I admit sometimes it takes me a while to notice things but... today I actually looked on the right side of the XBOX ONE GENERAL DISCUSSION page and I saw this link...

Hey everyone!!

As you have probably noticed by now there have been a lot of changes to the forums. Hopefully many of you see these changes as an improvement, and I promise we are just about done!

We are taking this opportunity to reorganize the general and community discussion sections. So with that said, here is what we are looking to do in the next week or so.

General Games Discussion: These will be moving to the new Game Forums, since they are related to Games! These will also host some of the other forums listed below.

Clan discussion: Since clans are closely related to the game being discussed, these will now live within the General Games Discussion group found in the Games Forums.

Gamer Parents & Family Gaming: Have a guess where this will go? you're probably right! This will now be in the General Games Discussion within the Games Forums.

Community Chatter: I'm sure you're recognizing a pattern here... this forum will also be in the General Games Discussions group within the Game Forums.

Community Playdates: Since Playdates are 100% relating to gaming, these will also be found in the General Games Discussion group within the Games Forums.

Now here is where the pattern breaks! We will also be creating a Hardware & Services group that can be found within Discussions. This group will contain all of the other discussions that occur on the forums relating
to your console, accessories, and Xbox Live services. The forums that you will be able to find in here will include: General Hardware & Services, Xbox Live Discussions, Xbox One Console & Accessories Discussions, Xbox 360 Console & Accessories Discussions,
Xbox on Mobile Devices Discussions, and Xbox on Windows Devices & Accessories.

Again, I want to thank all of you for your patience while we complete these migrations and make the forums a more enjoyable and safer place for everyone!

So... moving stuff around is like really great and all but maybe it's just me but I was kinda hoping that I could see what Xbox One games I had played in our profile thingy to the left of post, maybe a better system to
edit a post, maybe a better way to quote someone in a reply, and... well, ok I'll stop. That's just me I guess...

Any improvements are always welcome but like you mentioned it would be nice to see other things fixed as well ( maybe they will be? )

For me the main thing would be to make the forum a bit more stable, less of the ... "Uh Oh"

Would be great to see XB1 games played in our profiles! It is weird seeing games I haven't played for almost 2 years.

And definitely like to see a better system to quote people, edit etc.

So how I read it is, they are moving this very forum as well? Hope it doesn't take me months to find it :/

 

That's what concerns me, Lofty - what will happen to this forum?

Will it cease to exist? If so, where would we migrate to?

Will it simply be moved? If so, where to?

 

Did they move stuff yet? Everything is the same so far.

If the header at the top of the page is anything to be believed, I would say our fate has not been determined yet and I suppose we'll find out some time later this week, for better or worse.

 

The changes started about 4 weeks ago.

According to official support having our xbox one activilty on our forum gamercards is something that is being "worked on".

Other gamercard generator sites have been doing this for ages,trueachievements just released one last week so how hard can it be?

 

I got sick of seeing my 360 from 3 years ago so i just hid it.

Yeah, I've been reading those threads, the support sections have fewer layers now.

I would say it might help with forum traffic, but the community isn't really spread out it's just non-existent.
