    Fortnite Won't Load on Xbox Live


    Hi,

    This is my first time asking a question on a forum so here goes nothing....

    My son just got a brand new Xbox One S for Christmas. I created a profile for him, used our 14 day free trial of Xbox live gold, and then downloaded Fortnite (free). Unfortunately, the only thing that happens after trying to launch the game is, you see
    the game screen for a few seconds as it starts to launch, and then it just closes and goes back to the Xbox one home screen? Does anyone know why this is happening and what the fix is?

    I've already rebooted several times. I even uninstalled, and reinstalled Fortnite with no success.

    If anyone can help it would be appreciated by me, and most importantly, my son.

    Thanks. That helped a lot. It seems to be wirking now. When i rebooted i didnt hold down the power on the xbox unit per the instructions you sent me. Thanks

    Hey there, skate13bruv

    Please go to My Games and Apps and select Fortnite and uninstall it. Then go to the
    Ready to Install section and select Fortnite and Install it back onto your Xbox. Then try and launch the game again.

    9 times out of 10 this resolves most issues regarding games not loading, because there is generally a file which has become corrupt.
