Fortnite stretch resolution

When I go into Fortnite settings to change my Strech resolution and I make sure that read only is off and I change it then I run up Fortnite and make sure the settings on Fortnite will allow me to and when I get on the Strech resolution does not have any effect and no visible affect either and when I check it it is back to the original thing even though I did not change it and read only is still off can somebody please help me with my issue please and thank you.

If yes, are you on Windows 10 or 11?
Is this the first time that you try to use this feature or you was able to do it before?
And which troubleshooting steps you have done so far to fix this problem?

GOTY works well on the 360, just change the resolution to stretch the screen. On of the best rpg's ever imho
