Fortnite shuts off entire console

For the past few days Fortnite has been causing my Xbox One X to shut down any time I try to enter a game. It always happens ~60 seconds after joining a game, and does not affect any game other than Fortnite. I've confirmed that the console isn't overheating,
I've deleted local content and files, I've tried re-installing the game, I've even tried updating all of my controllers / headsets and nothing has worked. Please help!

For the last two weeks I have been having this problem with my Xbox shutting off in the middle of Fortnite, no other game gives me this problem.

I have narrowed it down, seems to ALWAYS happen when I try to jump into the wind tunnel at the Grotto.

I made a youtube video. Once I turn back on it gives me the "Overheated" screen.

Im using an Xbox Scorpio and TV is a 4k/HDR...settings correct. Again, just happens in Fortnite. Wonder if resolution/framerate giving the processor trouble, but why only this game??

My xbox one x is doing the same thing with fortnite, it works with gta 5 digital copy and fifa 20 disc, i have done power reset, hard reset soft reset, spoke with microsoft and as its out of warranty ill have to pay alot to get it fixed....i opened it
up all the way to the cpu and cleaned everything and still no joy.

Thanks everyone. Unfortunately these options did not help. I was able to do a 'Reset and Keep Games' , reconnect my Xbox live account, but the same issue happened. Approximately 10 minutes into the game it shut down the Xbox instantly. I've also confirmed
that my games and software are all up to date. Is there anything else I can try?

Try taking off your account and putting it back on ive seen some people do that to fix bugs like that but what works for them may not for you.
